We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to join our operations team at Moorebank. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a high-performing team within a fast-paced distribution environment.
The successful candidate will lead by example, providing guidance and support to warehouse employees while ensuring all tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support warehouse team members to achieve daily operational targets.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and operational procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote safe work practices at all times.
- Train, coach and develop team members to improve performance and capability.
- Assist with receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities as required.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practice solutions.
- Complete administrative and reporting requirements accurately and within required timeframes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
- Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
- Sound working knowledge of warehouse and distribution centre operations.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and operational compliance.
- Ability to exercise discretion, make decisions and solve problems within the scope of the role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current forklift licence (desirable).
