Your new role
As an APS6 Business Analyst, you will support a systems implementation project focused on migrating software and business-system asset information from multiple sources into an IT Service Management platform. You will work closely with the Service Management Office, digital teams and business stakeholders to improve processes, maintain business continuity and support stronger security maturity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating workshops and interviews with stakeholders and subject-matter experts
- Analysing current-state processes and identifying opportunities, risks and problems
- Designing practical future-state processes and workflows
- Gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
- Preparing process maps, specifications, recommendations and change documentation
- Supporting IT asset and configuration management process improvements
- Assisting with CMDB population, data integrity and lifecycle-management activities
- Aligning ITIL processes with ITSM platforms
- Providing business analysis support to project managers
- Communicating proposed changes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
What you'll need to succeed
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
- Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and performing systems analysis
- Experience working on systems implementation projects
- Strong knowledge of IT asset and configuration management
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or a similar platform
- Understanding of ITIL processes and CMDB population, data integrity and life cycle management
- Strong data analysis, process mapping and stakeholder-engagement skills
- Experience planning and leading project work streams
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in changing or ambiguous environments
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean methodology
- BABOK certification, which is desirable but not essential
