HEAD CHEF - New Premium Venue (Pre-Opening Role) Swan Valley, WA

We are opening a new premium venue in the Swan Valley and are looking for an experienced Head Chef, or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up, to lead the kitchen from pre-opening through to launch and ongoing operation. This is a rare chance to join early and help build the kitchen, systems and team from the ground up.

The venue will offer a produce-driven, generous and approachable food style across a premium casual restaurant, weddings, functions and events. The focus is on quality Western Australian ingredients, solid execution and dishes guests genuinely want to return for.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working closely with venue operators to deliver the established food direction • Developing and refining dishes, recipes and kitchen processes • Recruiting, training and leading the kitchen team • Building kitchen systems, prep structure and service standards • Managing food costing, margins,



ordering and waste control • Overseeing supplier relationships and stock management • Executing function and event menus with consistency • Ensuring food safety, compliance and kitchen documentation • Creating a positive, organised and skilled kitchen culture

About You • Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in quality venues • Confident working within a clear food concept and delivering it consistently • Strong commercial awareness (food costs, labour, margins) • A grounded leader who can run a team without ego • Organised and comfortable across restaurant, wedding and function service • Strong recipe development, systems and execution skills • Values consistency as much as creativity • Looking for a long-term role with ownership and growth

Experience in premium casual dining, high-volume service, weddings or functions will be highly regarded.
