About the role

Restvale in Lobethal is seeking a passionate and qualified Chef to join our dedicated hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the dining experience and well-being of our residents. You will take a lead role in menu development, ensuring our offerings remain fresh, seasonal, and compliant with aged care standards.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality, nutritious meals for residents in accordance with dietary requirements.
Lead the development and planning of seasonal menus.
Ensure strict adherence to the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) frameworks for texture-modified diets.
Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness in line with HACCP regulations.
Monitor stock levels, manage food rotation, and minimise wastage.





About you
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher).
Proven experience working as a Chef within an aged care or healthcare setting.
Robust working knowledge and practical experience with IDDSI standards and texture-modified food preparation.
Demonstrated experience in menu development and recipe creation.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, respectful approach to interacting with elderly residents.
Reliable availability to work a rotating roster across a 60-hour fortnight.
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
Relevant vaccinations required for aged care environments.
Full working rights in Australia.
