Position: Café Chef
Hours: Day shifts only (Café operates 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 7 days a week)

We are looking for a reliable and energetic Café Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking our breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus. Because we operate strictly during the day, this role offers an excellent work-life balance with no late-night finishes. Core Responsibilities:
Service Execution: Prepare, cook, and plate breakfast and lunch menu items quickly and consistently during peak café rush hours.
Daily Prep (Mise en Place): Complete morning setup tasks to ensure the kitchen line is fully stocked and ready for a 7:00 AM open.
Menu & Specials: Maintain consistency with our core menu and occasionally help create fresh, appealing daily blackboard specials.
Kitchen Hygiene: Keep your workstation, cooking equipment, and storage areas clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift.
Stock Management: Monitor ingredient levels,



minimize food waste, and assist with receiving and rotating stock (FIFO).
Food Safety compliance: Strictly follow local food safety regulations, including correct temperature tracking and allergen awareness.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Café Experience: Previous experience cooking in a fast-paced café, bistro, or casual dining restaurant.
Short-Order Cooking: Ability to handle high-volume breakfast rushes (e.g., executing eggs to perfection, managing multiple checks at once).
Reliability & Punctuality: Since we open early, being dependable and on time for morning setup shifts is crucial.
Team Player: Strong communication skills to work smoothly with floor staff and other kitchen team members.
Qualifications: A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded, and a current Food Handling Certificate is required.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
