Ballarat Steiner School is seeking applications for the position of Class Teacher.

This is a permanent full time position commencing in 2027. The successful candidate may be asked to commence in Term 4 to prepare for the role.

We are located on a beautiful rural site just fifteen minutes from Ballarat Central and five minutes from the boutique village of Buninyong. We have been established for more than twenty years and have over a hundred students from Early Childhood to Class 6.

This position is ideal for a teacher who is capable, artistic, adaptable, and is a life-long learner. We are looking for a passionate, dedicated teacher who connects strongly with the philosophy and values of Steiner education.

Essential criteria:
VIT registration.
Qualifications in Steiner education and/ or a willingness to commit to career development in Steiner education.




Ability to develop rapport with all students and families.
Excellent classroom management skills founded in restorative practices and positive behaviour support.
Demonstrated experience in developing, differentiating, delivering, and assessing curriculum.
Music, visual arts, and handcraft skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Capacity and willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities including camps, excursions, fairs, and festivals.
