Salt Human Services is looking for friendly, reliable and engaging Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

We currently have a number of opportunities available across Brisbane’s inner north and Northside, including a current opportunity supporting a client in New Farm.

About the Recent Farm Role

Our New Farm client is a friendly, softly spoken man who enjoys keeping life relatively calm and structured. He particularly loves fishing and also enjoys being outdoors, gardening, swimming, listening to music and practical, hands-on activities.

Support is primarily focused on community access, transport, appointments, shopping, social connection and maintaining independence and routine.

The current shifts available are:
Monday: 4:00pm–8:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00am–4:00pm
Friday: 10:00am–4:00pm

We also have other support prospects available across Brisbane’s Northside, so we encourage applicants with broader availability to apply even if this particular role isn't the right match.

What We’re Looking For
A warm, patient and dependable support worker
Someone who genuinely enjoys building one-to-one relationships with participants




Comfortable supporting participants out in the community
Reliable and able to provide consistent support
Previous disability, psychosocial, mental health, aged care or community support experience is highly regarded

Requirements

Successful applicants must have, or be willing to obtain where appropriate:
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
Blue Card (Working with Children Check), where applicable
National Police Check
Current First Aid and CPR
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Current Australian Driver Licence
Own reliable vehicle
Comprehensive vehicle insurance
Current right to work in Australia
Smartphone and ability to complete electronic shift documentation
