About the role
We're looking for a caring, reliable support worker to provide in-home support to an NDIS participant in the Strathpine area. You'll help with daily living so the participant can stay comfortable, independent and connected to their community.
Shifts
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are essential.
Must be able to work between 7am and 5pm
Full 8 hours to suit your availability, but travel will be required.
Duties
Personal care support (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Meal preparation and help with eating
Light household tasks (laundry, tidying, cleaning)
Medication prompting as per the support plan
Community access, appointments and outings
Companionship and encouragement of independence
Keeping accurate shift notes and following the participant's support plan
About you
Respectful, patient,
punctual and trustworthy
Comfortable with personal care
Available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Own transport and a current driver's licence
Essential:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in Australia
First Aid and CPR
Drivers Licence
Certificate III in Individual Support (or similar), or experience in disability or aged care
We're open to applicants with a range of backgrounds and experience. Training and support will be provided.
