This is a hands-on, ground-up chance for an experienced door technician who wants to take ownership of a growing operation. You'll lead installations and service work, help develop a team around you and play a direct role in growing the business. As we build this part of the business, you'll report directly to senior management. Your experience, practical ideas and recommendations will have a real say in how the team operates and grows. For the right person, there is potential to progress into a national role, based on your success in developing the team and delivering strong project and customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Install, commission, service and repair industrial and cold storage doors
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
Coordinate site work and communicate with builders, customers and the Skatco team
Help recruit, mentor and develop technicians as the Melbourne team expands
Recommend improvements to installation methods, service delivery and team processes
Travel interstate when projects require it
About you
Robust experience installing and servicing industrial doors
The ability to work independently and solve problems on site
Confidence leading work and developing a team
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel
An electrical licence would be highly regarded, but is not essential
