Located just over an hour from Perth and with a population of 12,000 Northam (MM4) is a great place to practice rural medicine. You have the choice to stay in town, or commute from nearby Perth suburbs.
The Practice
The clinic is a not-for-profit organisation providing high quality, integrated primary healthcare across the Wheatbelt. As the organisation’s headquarters, this centre boasts a contemporary, fully computerised general practice.
The practice is mixed billing with predominantly a bulk billing profile and supports vulnerable and disadvantaged clients to access the care they need to support improved health outcomes.
Available support:
Full time nursing and reception support
On-site pathology, pharmacy, allied health and physiotherapy
Support from visiting general physician
Integrated Aboriginal Health Clinic managed by the same organisation
The Requirements
Ahpra registration and a valid qualification to practice medicine in Australia;
FRACGP or FACRRM
Experience in Aboriginal health and/or a primary care setting
Excellent clinical skills and a thorough understanding of evidence-based medical practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary workplace.
The Package
Attractive remuneration package - either as an independent contractor, percentage-based (75%) or a daily rate depending on experience and clinic;
