Nextt is seeking a reliable, patient and supportive Disability Support Worker to assist a young person with support at home and in the community.
The client is 17 years old and has ADHD and Autism. Support will focus on daily routines, developing independence, building confidence and participating in community activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support with daily routines and personal organisation
Assist with getting ready for school or work placement
Provide after-school support and assistance in the community
Support with meal preparation and planning
Assist with household tasks and jobs around the home
Encourage independence, confidence and participation in everyday activities
Provide positive, patient and respectful support tailored to individual needs
Provide community access and driving support when required
Support Hours
Wednesday: 7:30am – 9:30am
Thursday: 3:30pm – 6:30pm
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Patient, reliable and encouraging
Experienced in supporting young people
Experienced supporting people with ADHD and Autism
Comfortable providing support both at home and in the community
A positive and respectful communicator
Committed to promoting independence and confidence
Essential Requirements
As the role involves community access and driving duties, you must have:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Working With Children Check – Employee
Full Australian Driver’s Licence
Reliable vehicle
Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
Relevant disability support experience
Pay Rates
SCHADS Award B2.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
Base hourly rate: $45.28/hr
Afternoon shift: $49.80/hr
Active Night: $50.71/hr
Saturday: $63.39/hr
Sunday: $81.50/hr
Public Holiday: $99.61/hr
