With a solid reputation for service delivery and a people-focused culture, they are seeking an experienced Payroll/Senior Payroll Officer to join their finance team and take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex payroll processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards and company policies.

Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce
Interpretation and application of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
Processing new starters, terminations and employee variations
Managing superannuation, payroll tax and statutory obligations
Maintaining employee records and payroll data integrity
Reconciliation of payroll-related accounts
Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and stakeholders




Assisting with audits, reporting and compliance activities
Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements
Supporting payroll system maintenance and enhancements

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Payroll / Senior Payroll Officer position
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
Experience processing high-volume payrolls
Sound understanding of awards and enterprise agreements
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Experience using payroll and ERP systems
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
