Sales Development Manager (BDR Team Lead) | Sydney | Global Unicorn Status Fintech | 200k OTE

You will run the Sydney BDR team for a global fintech that funds ecommerce and consumer brands. The team is entirely outbound, entirely self-sourced.

What you'll own

A small Sydney BDR team covering the whole of Australia

Outbound strategy: targeting, messaging, sequencing, channel mix

Onboarding and ramping new reps, including hires you'll help select as the team scales

Weekly pipeline and activity rhythm, and the number that comes out of it

Reporting into the Australian GM, with a direct line into the global revenue leadership team

Must-haves

2 to 4 years closing in a high-velocity outbound workplace, selling to SMB or SME decision makers

Experience coaching or leading reps.

A track record you can talk to in numbers: attainment, meetings booked, pipeline created, ramp times

Comfortable in a rapid-moving business where process is still being built rather than inherited

Based in Sydney and able to be in the office with your team

Nice to have

Fintech, payments, lending or ecommerce background

Experience building an outbound playbook from a blank page

Exposure to a business scaling through a funding round

What's genuinely on offer

The business has scaled from post-seed to unicorn valuation and the Australian market is still early. The stated pathway from this seat to second-line leadership is roughly 12 to 18 months as the team grows underneath you. If you are a solid senior rep who has been waiting for someone to hand you a team, this is that.

We are not looking for ten years of management. We are looking for someone hungry, close to the phones, and ready for the next step.
