Position: Full time Chef
Salary: $76,515 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Chef to manage kitchen operations and prepare high-quality meals for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food quality standards, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and developing menus in consultation with management
Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of meals to a high standard
Monitoring food preparation and portion control
Ordering, receiving and managing stock and kitchen supplies
Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
Supervising and training kitchen staff
Managing kitchen operations during service periods
Assisting with cost control and minimising food wastage
Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
Essential Requirements
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
Robust knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
