Are you an experienced boilermaker who enjoys varied work, takes pride in doing the job properly and can think for yourself when problems come up on site?
BIA Engineering is a growing metal fabrication business working across commercial and industrial projects throughout Brisbane, Ipswich and South East Queensland.
As part of a small team, your experience and contribution will be noticed. You’ll have the opportunity to work independently, share practical ideas and take on more responsibility as the business continues to grow.
The role offers a positive mix of workshop fabrication and site installation, so you won’t be doing the same work every day.

Your regular work will include:
Metal fabrication and welding
Stainless steel TIG welding
Structural steel, handrails, balustrades and stairs
Reading and interpreting drawings
Site measuring, welding and installation
Checking dimensions and finished work
Making modifications and solving unexpected problems on site
Communicating with builders, customers and other trades
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
This role would suit someone who is reliable, practical and confident working without constant supervision.
You should be able to assess a situation on site, work out a suitable solution and communicate clearly with the people involved.
To be considered, you will need:
A recognised boilermaker trade qualification
Professional welding and fabrication experience
Stainless steel TIG welding experience
Previous construction-site and installation experience
Confidence reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
Valuable attention to detail
Explicit English communication skills
Australian working rights
Experience with structural steel, aluminium, handrails and balustrades will also be highly regarded.
This position is for an experienced tradesperson and is not suitable for apprentices.
