Unicorn Transport Equipment has manufactured steel and aluminium trays and accessories for light commercial vehicles and trucks since 1983. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our customer base, strengthen key accounts and help drive profitable sales.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Leader, you'll work with customers and our Sales, Engineering and Production teams to turn opportunities into practical solutions that can be delivered.
What you'll do n
n
Find and win recent business across Heavy Vehicle Truck markets.
n
Build lasting relationships with existing customers and identify prospects to grow their accounts.
n
Manage your sales pipeline, customer activity and opportunities in our CRM.
n
Prepare and present quotes, proposals and tenders, and negotiate commercially sound outcomes.
n
Work with Engineering, Production and Internal Sales to confirm specifications, pricing and delivery commitments.
n
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports covering results, pipeline activity, forecasts, key accounts and new business opportunities, and present these to the Senior Sales Leader.
n
Share customer feedback and market insights to help shape our sales plans and product offering.
n
Track your results against sales and profitability targets.
n
What you'll bring nn
At least two years' experience in a heavy vehicle related industry, including at least three years in a business development role.
n
Sound understanding of Vehicle Compliance and Main Road WA compliant.
n
Proven success in prospecting, account management and closing sales.
n
Strong communication, relationship building and negotiation skills.
n
The ability to understand customer requirements and coordinate solutions across teams.
n
A commercial approach to pricing, margins and customer outcomes.
n
n
Experience preparing tenders and detailed quotations will be highly regarded.
n
