Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm with a genuine regional identity in Geelong and the backing of a Melbourne CBD practice. This is a permanent opportunity for a family lawyer to join a structured team with clear seniority above and support below, taking on a broad caseload with real autonomy.

About the role

n

You will run your own family law files end to end, with senior support close at hand rather than at arm's length.

n

n
Manage a caseload spanning parenting matters, property settlements and consent orders
n
Appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia as required
n
Liaise directly with clients, opposing counsel and other professionals
n
Draw on the guidance of senior family lawyers and partners when files get complex
n
Contribute to a small, close-knit team without the scale, or the politics, of a big city practice
n

What you'll bring

n

n
4+ years PAE in family law, with around 7 PAE ideal
n
Current unrestricted practising certificate in Victoria
n
Confidence running your own files with senior support available
n
Strong client-facing manner and explicit written and verbal communication
n
Based in or willing to relocate to the Geelong region
