About the Role n

Our client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join their team near Queenstown . This role is focused on the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems and instrumentation for industrial processes. You will play a key part in ensuring the accurate measurement, monitoring, and control of critical operational parameters, optimizing plant performance and safety. This is a dynamic position that requires a deep understanding of both electrical engineering principles and automation technologies, offering the chance to work on diverse and challenging projects within a supportive team workplace.

Key Responsibilities n

Design, configure, and commission process control systems, including DCS and SCADA systems.
n
Select, calibrate, and maintain various types of instrumentation, such as sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
n
Develop and implement control strategies to optimize process efficiency, quality, and safety.
n
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
n
Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to understand control requirements and implement improvements.

Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in instrumentation and control engineering.

Requirements nn
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
n
Minimum of 6 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in an industrial setting.
n
Proficiency with DCS, PLC, and SCADA system configuration and programming.
n
Strong knowledge of process control theory, loop tuning, and control valve sizing.
n
Experience with various sensor technologies and communication protocols (e.g., HART, Modbus).
n
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
