Team Leader – Disability Support

Location: Devonport, Tasmania

Paramount Disability Support is seeking a Team Leader to guide our Disability Support Workers and help ensure participants receive safe, consistent and high-quality support.

This role is primarily office-based, with regular visits to service sites to support staff, review practice and follow up on participant needs. You’ll work closely with Support Workers, participants, families, rostering and the wider leadership team.

What you’ll do

Lead and support Disability Support Workers through regular check-ins, supervision, coaching and performance reviews.

Help staff understand and follow participant plans, goals and individual support requirements.

Build positive relationships with participants, families and other stakeholders, and follow through on agreed actions.

Work with rostering to support suitable staffing, continuity of care and secure service delivery.

Review shift notes, participant records and other documentation, and follow up any gaps with staff.

Respond to incidents,



risks and safeguarding concerns, ensuring they are reported and followed through promptly.

Visit sites to observe staff practice, review medication records and identify training or competency needs.

Promote a qualified team culture where staff feel supported and are accountable for their work.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have experience in disability or community services, solid communication and organisational skills, and the confidence to guide staff through day-to-day challenges. Leadership experience and knowledge of the NDIS, safeguarding requirements and the SCHADS Award would be highly regarded.

You’ll also need a Certificate III or IV in Community Services or an equivalent qualification, current First Aid and CPR certificates, Working with Vulnerable People registration, a current police check and medication endorsement.
