You will be responsible for a broad range of servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently diagnose and repair vehicles, work independently when required, and provide friendly and qualified service to customers.
Key responsibilities
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults using contemporary diagnostic and scan equipment
Servicing and repairing brakes, steering, suspension, engines, cooling, fuel and ignition systems
Carrying out major repairs, including clutch and gearbox work
Maintaining accurate service records and communicating repair requirements and recommendations to customers
Assisting and guiding apprentices or junior mechanics when required
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
About you
Minimum 3 years experience as an automotive mechanic, including experience with major repairs
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and mechanical skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A reliable, hardworking attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
Valuable communication and customer service skills
A valid driver's licence
