Security Operations Engineer - Must hold NV1 Clearance n

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join a leading global technology consultancy, supporting a major client within an established Security Operations Centre (SOC). This is an initial 6-month rolling contract, with Melbourne-based candidates preferred, although applicants from other Australian locations will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, security monitoring and incident response, along with a solid background working within a SOC environment. An active NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory.

Key Skills & Experience n

Active NV1 Security Clearance – essential.
n
Proven experience working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
n
Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including security monitoring, alert investigation and incident management.

Experience investigating, triaging and responding to security incidents and threats.
n
Solid understanding of SIEM technologies, threat detection and security operations.
n
Experience analysing security logs, identifying suspicious activity and escalating incidents.
n
Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and the wider Microsoft security ecosystem is highly desirable.
n
Knowledge of security frameworks, incident response processes and common cyber threats.
n
Robust communication skills and the ability to collaborate within an established SOC team.

Location: Melbourne preferred, open to candidates Australia-wide.

Contract: Initial 6 months, rolling extensions.

n

Clearance: Active NV1 mandatory.
