Burgess Personnel is building the operations team for a major mine rehabilitation and water treatment project in the Top End, NT. The project is moving into its operations and maintenance phase. This is a two year initial contract. FIFO is supported for approximately the first three months while you get yourself set up locally.
The exciting thing about this client is that they've got a solid pipeline of key, national work; from mine remediation to data centre water management projects. Prospects are there for performers to really grow their careers.
Key responsibilities
Running the treatment plant across a rotating roster
Plant rounds, monitoring and adjusting process parameters through the control system
Reagent handling and dosing
Sampling, isolations, and keeping accurate shift logs and handovers
Leading a shift crew on a 3:1 roster (Shift Supervisor)
Running safe, compliant shifts, managing permits and isolations
Keeping the plant on spec and troubleshooting when the process doesn't behave (Shift Supervisor)
Overall responsibility for plant operations across both crews (Operations Superintendent)
Production and water quality performance, rostering and crew development (Operations Superintendent)
HSE leadership, reporting, and working closely with maintenance to keep the plant available (Operations Superintendent)
About you
Hands-on process plant operations experience (mineral processing, water or wastewater treatment, desalination, chemical or utilities)
Control room / SCADA experience
Comfortable with reagent handling and chemical dosing systems
Solid safety record, able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A; screen
Current driver's licence
Process operations leadership is essential (Supervisor and Superintendent)
Water treatment or water process experience is highly regarded and a robust advantage (Supervisor and Superintendent)
Proven ability to lead crews on a rotating roster (Supervisor and Superintendent)
Track record running an operating plant, not just a shift (Superintendent)
Cert III/IV in Water Industry Operations or Process Plant Operations (desirable)
