CloudMarc is looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to join a major enterprise transformation program in Melbourne.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can lead Quality Engineering across multiple squads while remaining close to the code, automation and day-to-day engineering delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Quality Engineering across multiple delivery squads
Establish and drive strong QE engineering practices
Remain hands-on with Java-based automation and coding
Lead API and integration testing across complex systems
Drive end-to-end quality across interconnected platforms and services
Review code and automation approaches and provide technical guidance
Work closely with developers, architects, product teams and engineering leadership
Identify quality risks early and influence engineering decisions
Mentor QEs and help uplift technical capability across the teams
Drive quality throughout the SDLC rather than relying on testing at the end
What We’re Looking For
Robust hands-on Java coding capability
Strong API testing and automation experience
Excellent end-to-end and integration testing experience
Experience designing or contributing to automation frameworks
Robust Quality Engineering / SDET background
Previous experience leading QEs across multiple squads
Comfortable conducting code reviews and providing technical direction
Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder influencing skills
Able to operate as a hands-on technical QE Lead, rather than purely a people manager
Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments
