Role Description The Maintenance Assistant role is a full time, in office position based in Brisbane at FV by Peppers. This role supports the day-to-day upkeep of the property, including routine inspections, minor repairs, and general building and equipment maintenance to ensure a secure, comfortable environment for guests and team members.

The Maintenance

Assistant will assist with preventive maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to operations.

Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of work performed, following safety procedures and standards,



and reporting any issues that require escalation to senior maintenance staff or external contractors.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in building-related maintenance, including Building Maintenance and general Maintenance tasks.
Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable operation and reduced downtime.
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to coordinate with colleagues, contractors, and other hotel departments.
Basic knowledge of building systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
Experience in a hotel, facilities, or property maintenance environment is an advantage.
Ability to follow safety protocols, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and within a team.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
Relevant trade qualifications or certificates in maintenance, facilities, or a related field are desirable.
