We’re recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter or skilled Trade Assistant to join a specialist workshop focused on the repair, servicing, balancing and manufacture of industrial and automotive driveshafts.

This isn’t repetitive production work. One day you could be replacing uni joints and diagnosing a repair, the next you could be machining, welding and manufacturing a complete driveshaft from scratch.

What's On Offer
$45 per hour
Permanent full time position
Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm
Specialised mechanical and manufacturing work

The Role
Repairing and servicing industrial and automotive driveshafts
Manufacturing complete driveshaft assemblies
Replacing uni joints
Welding and fabrication
Lathe work
Balancing and inspecting completed driveshafts





There is also the opportunity to learn the back end of the operation, including quoting and order processing, if you’re interested learning something current and spending some time away from the tools.

What We're Looking For
Mechanical Fitter or strong mechanical experience
Welding experience – essential
Lathe experience – essential
Forklift licence

Previous driveshaft experience would be highly regarded, but it isn't essential if you have the right mechanical, welding and machining background.
