ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - $110,000 - $130,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Sydney, NSW

My client provides specialist engineering solutions in the Water & Wastewater sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with relevant industry experience to join their team in Sydney on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering position
Experience designing treatment plants and related systems for Water or Wastewater projects
Able to read and interpret P&IDs;
Highly skilled with 3D CAD, ideally Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 etc.
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry




Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Producing concept designs, detailed engineering drawings, layouts and technical documentation
Assisting with the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure and treatment systems
Working collaboratively with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams
Providing technical engineering support across design
Preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, reports and technical information
Supporting construction, testing and commissioning activities where required
Working within a team-oriented, growing engineering team on a variety of projects
