Working across both cropping and cattle, we're seeking someone who’s keen to jump into the mix. You’ll help out with everything from day-to-day cattle work to machinery operation and general farm upkeep. Some days you’ll be working alongside the owner, other days you’ll be running jobs on your own—there’s always something different going on. If you’re experienced around livestock and know your way around machinery, have previous knowledge &
experience in ground prep, spraying, harvest, and enjoy mixing paddock work with cattle work, you’ll fit right in.
Daily duties include:
Livestock welfare mustering motor bikes, Buggies & AVTs
Participate in all aspects of the annual cropping cycle,
Operate and maintain farm machinery
Perform mechanical work and general welding/fabrication tasks
All other farm maintenance as required,
including infrastructure maintenance, fencing and water management
Essential requirements:
Experience in dryland cropping,
Mechanical knowledge and general fabrication skills
Cattle work skills: tagging, drafting, mustering ect
Proficiency in machinery operation
Familiarity with Autosteer GPS systems
Spraying experience (advantageous)
Truck Licence (advantageous)
Robust communication and teamwork skills
The successful candidate will be provided with suitable accommodation in accordance with their family. This is located close to Emerald, which has both a Primary School and a High School.
