Company Description Dunlop Park Memorial Pool is a family leased Brisbane City Council public swimming pool based at 794 Oxley Road in Corinda, Queensland, Australia. The facility serves the local community by providing safe, clean and well-maintained aquatic spaces for recreation, exercise and swimming instruction like learn to swim and squad training. Team members support a welcoming environment where community members of all ages can enjoy swimming and water-based activities.

Lifeguards play a central role in ensuring safety standards are maintained and that visitors have a positive experience at the pool.

Role Description This casual Lifeguard role is an in office position based at Dunlop Park Memorial Pool in Brisbane, QLD. The Lifeguard monitors pool areas to ensure the safety of all swimmers, responds promptly to emergencies and administers first aid or CPR when needed. Daily responsibilities include supervising patrons, enforcing pool rules conducting regular safety checks of equipment and facilities and maintaining a high level of vigilance.

The role also involves assisting with opening and closing procedures, supporting swim programs and events, and providing courteous customer service to visitors and upkeep of cleanliness of the facility,



which include cleaning of changerooms.

Lifeguards collaborate with other staff to promote a secure, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all pool users.

Qualifications
Strong water safety and swimming skills, with the ability to perform rescues confidently and efficiently.
Queensland working with children check (Blue Card)
Current lifeguard certification, including CPR, first aid and oxygen administration.
Ability to maintain constant attention, assess risks quickly and follow established safety procedures.
Clear and respectful communication skills for interacting with patrons and working cooperatively with team members.
Customer service mindset, including the ability to provide guidance, answer questions and handle concerns professionally.
Reliable, punctual and able to work for the summer season with weekday and weekend schedule, including public holidays, school holiday periods and wide-ranging shifts as needed.
Physical fitness sufficient for extended periods of standing, moving around pool areas and performing emergency responses.
Previous experience in aquatics, recreation, or community facilities is beneficial but not mandatory.
