Casual | 38+ hours per week | October/November start

We’re looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on and wide-ranging role suited to someone who enjoys both new vessel fit-outs and the problem-solving involved in servicing, diagnostics and repairs.

The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with approximately 38+ hours per week expected and the potential for the role to develop as the business continues to grow.

THE ROLE

Your work will include a mix of:
Mechanical fit-out of recent vessels
Installation and commissioning of marine engines and associated systems
General servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnostics and fault finding
Mechanical repairs and component replacement
Troubleshooting engine, fuel, cooling and related vessel systems
Sea trials and testing where required

ABOUT YOU We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in doing the job properly.

Ideally, you will have:




Marine mechanical experience and/or a relevant trade qualification
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience servicing and repairing marine engines
Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Valuable attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
A current driver’s licence, ideally HR - MC

Experience with outboard engines, commercial vessels and new vessel fit-outs would be highly regarded.
