Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to lead a critical finance remediation project across a multi-entity organisation. This is not a traditional Finance Manager role. The successful contractor will be brought in with one explicit objective: identify, investigate and rectify historical accounting issues that have accumulated over the past two years.
Your recent role
Review and remediate historical bank and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
Investigate and resolve longstanding reconciliation discrepancies
Perform complex intercompany reconciliations and balance validations
Identify accounting errors, inconsistencies and historical process gaps
Support the clean-up of reporting and data issues stemming from the migration from Xero to NetSuite
Establish a clear understanding of entity-specific accounting treatments and recommend standardisation opportunities
Work closely with key stakeholders to provide clarity on historical financial positions
Deliver accurate and reliable balance sheet integrity across the group
What you'll need to succeed You will be a highly hands-on Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems and untangling messy environments.
You will have
Strong experience in balance sheet and bank reconciliation remediation
Advanced intercompany accounting experience
A forensic and investigative approach to finance
Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to work through large volumes of historical transactions
Experience operating within complex multi-entity environments
Exposure to ERP migrations or finance transformation projects
The ability to roll up your sleeves and focus on execution from day one
