You will play a key role in the delivery of the monthly financial results pack, including insightful analysis of the results against the prior month, budget and/or forecast
n
You will be responsible for the financial calculations required to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like ATO, SRO, WorkCover, etc.
n
Assisting the business in understanding and proactively managing their budget through the preparation of monthly reports
n
Commentary against budgeting and forecasting
n
Assisting with managing technical accounting areas, including but not limited to Capital Gain tax, FBT, Payroll tax, Business acquisition and goodwill recognition journals, Loan refinance entries etc
n
You will be responsible for a number of daily and month-end activities such as posting and reviewing month-end journals, processing payments, preparation of GST/BAS returns and cashflow analysis.
n
The role will include involvement in the year-end and half-year-end audit process
n
You will be responsible for maintaining solid internal controls, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and raising any identified control weaknesses
n




Review and Finalise lodgements, Financials and tax returns
n
Review financial reports and tax schedules prepared by intermediate accountants for finalisation.
n
Responsible for daily general ledger and prepare for month/year-end closing
n
Assist in preparing Quarterly management reports
n
Assist in implementing Finance projects that deliver process efficiency and enhanced control for selective clients.
n
Assist in current systems implementation, Xero third-party app integration and inter-entity reconciliation
n

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE : nn
Preferably have a Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in a local public accounting practice as an Accountant or Senior Accountant
n
CA/CPA qualified (or near completion) & Experienced expert in Accounting Standards
n

Tax law Skills: nn
Outstanding communicator with a passion for driving change in a scaling workplace
n
Big 4 background/business services background (advantageous)
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
