We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair Zünd digital cutting systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction through high-quality technical support and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and configure digital cutting machines at customer sites
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and software components
Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
Train operators on machine use, safety procedures, and basic maintenance
Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed
Liaise with internal teams regarding technical issues, spare parts, and service updates
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards at all times
Travel to customer sites as required
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a service technician or field service role (preferably with CNC, digital cutting, or automated machinery)
Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Basic understanding of control systems, software, and networking
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering
Experience with digital cutting systems (e.g., Zünd, Esko, or similar platforms)
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software workflows
PLC or motion control experience (advantageous)
