We are currently looking for an experienced, caring and reliable female Disability Support Worker to support a client in the Penrith area.
The successful applicant must be comfortable providing practical in-home support and assisting the client with everyday household tasks. We are looking for someone who is respectful, dependable and able to support the client to maintain their independence and daily routine.
About the Role
Duties may include
Assisting the client with household chores and general home duties
Light cleaning and maintaining a protected and comfortable home workplace
Meal preparation and assistance with daily tasks
Community access and social support
Shopping and attending appointments as required
Transporting the client using your own reliable vehicle
Supporting the client with their daily routine and independence
Providing respectful and person-centred support
Other support tasks based on the client’s individual needs
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have
Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support or a relevant equivalent qualification
Minimum two years’ experience working as a Disability Support Worker
Current Australian driver licence
Reliable and insured vehicle
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and reliably
Willingness to assist with household chores and other everyday support tasks
Pay and Conditions The standard casual weekday rate is $42.00 per hour + superannuation.
Applicable evening, weekend, public holiday and other penalty rates will be paid in accordance with the relevant industrial award and employment conditions.
