About the role n
The DBA is responsible for the operational management, security, performance, resilience and continuous improvement of database platforms supporting critical services.
Primary Responsibilities n
n
Operate and support SQL Server, PostgreSQL and AWS RDS environments.
n
Maintain database availability, performance, capacity, backup and recovery capabilities.
n
Manage database security, privileged access, credentials and compliance obligations.
n
Support incident, problem, change and release management activities.
n
Participate in on-call support and major incident response.
n
Drive automation, monitoring, observability and operational improvements.
n
Support application teams with deployments, troubleshooting and solution design.
n
Assist with cloud modernisation, database upgrades and AWS multi-account initiatives.
