About the Chance
Ascend Legal Talent is assisting an established Sydney legal practice in its search for a Solicitor to join its team, with a particular focus on Family Law and Wills & Estates .
This opportunity would suit a solicitor with approximately two years of relevant experience who is comfortable managing matters with an appropriate level of independence while continuing to develop under the guidance of experienced practitioners.
The practice offers a flexible working arrangement, combining work from home with attendance at its Chatswood office as required.
The Role
The successful candidate will work across a wide-ranging caseload involving Family Law and Wills & Estates matters. Responsibilities may include:
Managing and assisting with Family Law matters from initial instructions through to resolution
Drafting correspondence, court documents, agreements and other legal documents
Conducting legal research and preparing advice
Liaising directly with clients, counsel, courts and other practitioners
Assisting with wills, estate planning and deceased estate matters
Managing files, deadlines and client expectations
Working collaboratively with the Principal Solicitor and broader team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is admitted to practise in NSW and holds a current practising certificate
Has approximately 2+ years' relevant legal experience
Has experience in Family Law , with exposure to Wills & Estates highly regarded
Has strong drafting and written communication skills
Communicates confidently and professionally with clients
Is organised, dependable and capable of managing competing deadlines
Demonstrates sound judgement and attention to detail
Is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
This is an prospect to join a small legal practice where you can have meaningful involvement in matters and work closely with senior practitioners.
