About the role: nn
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
n
Advising on research, collaboration, funding and commercialisation agreements.
n
Providing practical legal advice across a broad range of commercial and research matters.
n
Managing commercial and research-related disputes and proceedings.
n
Engaging and overseeing external legal providers on complex matters.
n
Identifying and managing legal,
operational and reputational risk.
n
Supporting compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and internal policies.
n
Developing legal precedents, templates and resources for internal stakeholders.
n
Delivering training and guidance on legal obligations and risk.
n
The ideal candidate: nn
At least 7 years’ PQE
n
Demonstrated expertise across commercial contracts and advisory matters.
n
Experience in intellectual property, research contracts or commercialisation matters, which would be highly regarded.
n
Robust drafting, negotiation and legal risk identification skills.
n
The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities.
n
Confidence advising senior executives and working with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
