Westcon Site Management is seeking a solutions-driven Building Project Manager to lead a development in Townsville for the Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW), delivered under a Design & Construct (D&C;) framework for 14 apartments. This is a hands‑on role where leadership, accountability, and professional growth go hand in hand. Working closely with the Construction Manager and Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising project delivery, enhancing performance, and shaping a high‑performing site team primed for expansion. This full‑time, permanent chance is based in Townsville.

Lead and support Site Manager
n
Drive program delivery, quality, and safety standards
n
Build capability through mentoring and coaching site teams
n
Uphold standards in culture, quality, and commercial performance
n
Identify issues early and implement practical, effective solutions
n
Maintain clear communication on project progress, performance, and risk
n
About you nn
Proven experience leading Social Housing Construction projects
n
Experience in Consultant Co‑ordination and understanding of the appropriate construction methodology
n
Ability to manage multiple teams and competing priorities
n
Robust commercial acumen with a focus on profitability and value
n
A calm, practical, and solutions‑oriented mindset
n
Excellent communication skills—listens, adapts, and leads by example
n
Comfortable with learning and adopting recent systems and technology
n
Experience with design and construct and lump sum contracts
n
Background in contract administration and project programming
n
Familiarity with regional QBuild construction projects and local subcontractor and supplier relationships
