We are seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our team at a steel recycling facility in Newcastle. This is a outstanding prospect to work within a well established heavy industrial environment, with plenty of overtime available.

About the Role
n
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fabrication of plant and equipment used throughout the steel recycling operation. The role will involve a combination of breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and heavy fabrication across site.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Fabrication, welding and repair of steel components and structural elements
n
Maintenance and repairs to chutes, hoppers, conveyors and processing equipment
n
MIG and Stick welding
n
Heavy fabrication and repair work
n
Reading and interpreting drawings
n
Completing breakdown and preventative maintenance
n
Supporting shutdown and general maintenance activities across site
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Trade Qualified Boilermaker
n
Experience within heavy industry, recycling, mining, quarrying or manufacturing preferred
n
Robust MIG and Stick welding skills
n
Experience with fabrication and maintenance
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
Ability to work in a fast paced industrial environment
n
Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
