Marketing Lead (Casual / Part time / Contractor) - Fin Tech

We're a fast-growing Sydney-based Fin Tech looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Marketing Manager / Marketing Lead to take ownership of our marketing, communications and promotional activities as we continue to grow our Fin Tech business.

The position can be structured as casual, part-time or contractor, with plenty of flexibility around hours and working arrangements.

What you'll do
General marketing & promotions: Plan and execute campaigns across digital and offline channels to drive awareness and leads.
PR & communications: Draft press releases, media pitches, and occasional customer-facing emails or newsletters.
Digital & social media: Own our social presence (Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), including content calendars, copy, visuals, and community engagement.
Events & expos: End-to-end coordination of trade shows, networking events, and customer meetups - from booking and logistics to on-the-day execution.
Web content: Create and update website copy, landing pages, blogs, and case studies to support campaigns and SEO.
Ad hoc projects: Support product launches, partnership announcements,



and other initiatives as the business scales.

What we're looking for
Several years’ experience in a marketing generalist or marketing manager role (agency, startup, or Fin Tech/financial services background a plus).
Proven track record across PR, digital marketing, social media, content creation, and event management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – you can switch tone from a customer email to a media release with ease.
Comfortable working autonomously, juggling multiple priorities, and hitting deadlines.
Tech-savvy: familiar with tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, basic CMS & ERP, and email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.).
Based in Sydney and able to attend occasional in-person events/expos.
