Work Environment/n
This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. In this energetic healthcare setting, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.

Key Responsibilities/n
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

- Assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by licensed Physical Therapists, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
/n
- Guiding patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities, taking care to monitor their progress and adjust routines as needed to maximize effectiveness.
/n
- Educating patients and their families about proper body mechanics and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care beyond the clinic.
/n
- Administering therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy,
always under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
/n
- Documenting patient responses and progress through Microsoft EMR systems, meticulously tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
/n
- Preparing treatment areas and ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are organized, sanitized, and readily available for therapy sessions.
/n
- Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and enhance rehabilitation outcomes.

- Providing encouragement and emotional support, fostering a motivating atmosphere for patients embarking on difficult recovery journeys.

- Upholding professional and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality and dignity of patients throughout their treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus/n
The patients you will assist span various demographics and needs, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. Your role is critical in helping each individual achieve their personal rehabilitation goals, ultimately contributing to their health independence.
Qualifications/n
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:

- An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
/n
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
/n
- A sound understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the therapeutic interventions relevant to physical therapy practice.
/n
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor, allowing for building rapport with patients and teamwork with healthcare colleagues.
/n
- Detail-oriented approach, showcasing strong organizational skills that are essential in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.

Preferred Experience/n
While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to individuals who have previous experience in a rehabilitation or hospital setting, as well as those who are proficient in various therapeutic modalities and electronic medical record-keeping systems.
Compensation and Advantages/n
