Yass District Hospital & Health Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a six-week contract from 1 October to 8 November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy regional ED, taking on triage and Advanced Life Support responsibilities in a supportive clinical environment. Based in Yass, this contract role offers the chance to work alongside an experienced team in a high-acuity setting.

- Six-week contract placement in a regional emergency department
- Triage and Advanced Life Support (ALS) focus in a high-volume ED
- Prospect to work in a collaborative team environment with structured clinical support

Preferred Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse




- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Demonstrated experience in emergency department triage and patient assessment
- Competence with the Australasian Triage Scale and emergency clinical protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Post-graduate qualification or experience in Emergency Nursing
- Additional certifications such as TNCC or trauma nursing training are advantageous
