Rate: Up to $110 p.h + super

The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Architect to provide technical leadership across Azure platform architecture, cloud governance, security, networking and operational design.
Working closely with business stakeholders, security teams, network architects and Microsoft 365 specialists, you will be responsible for designing and governing the Azure Landing Zone and cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with security requirements, enterprise architecture standards and long-term operational objectives.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Lead the design and governance of the Azure cloud platform and landing zone architecture
- Define Azure subscription structures, management groups, resource organisation and governance frameworks
- Design Azure networking, connectivity, DNS, routing and hybrid integration solutions
- Establish Azure IaaS and PaaS architecture standards and deployment patterns
- Design cloud security controls, monitoring, logging and operational management capabilities
- Support integration across Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and security services
- Define high availability, resilience,
disaster recovery and business continuity requirements
What Our Client Requires
Essential Experience
- Strong Azure Architecture experience within enterprise-scale environments
- Proven Azure Landing Zone design and implementation expertise
- Extensive Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) experience
- Deep knowledge of Azure Networking, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints and DNS services
- Strong Microsoft Entra ID and Identity & Access Management experience
- Expertise with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and cloud monitoring platforms
- Cloud governance, policy management and resource organisation experience
- Hybrid cloud integration design expertise
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and technical leadership capabilities
