About the Opportunity

Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Mine
Controller.

This role is supporting a 24/7 operation, and the successful candidate will be required to work a
rotating roster including Day, Night, Weekend and Public holiday work, with the roster patterns
as follows:

5/5/4 - 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days/3nights, 4 days off.

Your task is to monitor and manage mining equipment from a central control room.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations Centre, and working in a collaborative and
exciting environment, you will:

- Coordinate haulage
- Respond to system alerts and operational issues
- Maintain communication with in office personnel ensuring production targets
- Use specialised software and control systems remotely

Your duties will also include:

- Strong commitment to safety
- Operation of fleet management systems with a range of multiple fleet types and targets
- Engage with key stakeholders to enhance daily, weekly and monthly targets and

strategies
- Effective administration and information collating
- Comply with business fatigue management and drug and alcohol policies

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Prior Mining/Experience in Mine Operations control room environment (Preferred), or

similar exposure in Fleet or Logistics Environments,



or high-volume operational
environments (Logistics, Warehousing or Aviation)

- Fleet Management System experience is advantageous
- Understanding of service delivery and value chain impacts
- Ability to multitask and identify risks
- Efficient activation of emergency response and coordination or other high pressure

critical tasks.
- Continuous improvement and collaborative mindset
- Hold a current drivers licence and have reliable transport
