Join our team as an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) and make a meaningful difference in patient care. You'll assist the team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy plans, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and support patients, families and carers to achieve positive health outcomes. This is a rewarding role for a compassionate, adaptable allied health assistant who thrives in a busy healthcare environment and is committed to safe, culturally responsive, patient-centred care.
TACP is a 12 week multi discipline therapy and nursing slow stream rehabilitation program for older people who have been discharged from hospital. We see the person on the same day of their hospital discharge and support the implementation of therapy plans to maximise their independence and function.
What you'll be doing

Provide support to the Physiotherapy team in the delivery of health care services to patients under the direct,
indirect or remote supervision of a Physiotherapist and consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District policies, procedures and standards
Selections Criteria: * Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent work experience and a willingness to work towards certification with the support of SESLHD.
- Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of technology relevant to the work unit and comply with information and communications security and acceptable use policies
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work with minimum supervision, to organise work priorities and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
