As an HVAC Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for complex commercial mechanical projects. You'll work closely with our design, project management, and construction teams to deliver cutting-edge HVAC solutions for some of Australia's most technically challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical HVAC projects
- Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to identify project scope and requirements
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing
- Participate in tender reviews, handovers, and value engineering workshops
- Support the estimating team with technical advice and commercial insights
- Maintain accurate records and databases of pricing, materials, and labour costs
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC estimating
- Proven track record working on Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial projects
- Experience across multiple sectors including hospitals, fit outs, retail, and industrial facilities
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and installation methodologies
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Trade background or tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering/building services (preferred)
- Well-spoken English
- Good communication skills to call suppliers when needed.
