About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales & Spare Parts Superstar to join our team on a full-time OR part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sales, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service to make a real impact in a fast-paced retail environment. You will be the face of Cobram Small Engines, helping customers find the right products and spare parts while building lasting relationships. This role offers flexibility for the right applicant and is perfect for someone eager to develop a rewarding career in retail and customer service.

Key responsibilities

- Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in customers, offering expert product knowledge and tailored recommendations for small engines, motorcycles and outdoor power equipment
- Manage spare parts inventory and assist customers in identifying and locating the correct components for their equipment needs
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Maintain detailed product knowledge to confidently explain features, benefits, and specifications to customers
- Organise and maintain the retail store environment, ensuring displays are attractive, well-stocked, and properly merchandised
- Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Support stock management activities, including receiving, checking, and shelving new inventory




- Identify customer needs and suggest additional products or services that enhance their experience
- Contribute to achieving sales targets whilst maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Build positive relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat business

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a retail sales environment, ideally in automotive, outdoor equipment, or mechanical products
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people solve problems
- Excellent communication abilities and a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to learn and retain technical product information quickly
- Basic mathematical skills for processing transactions and managing stock
- Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain inventory accuracy
- Physical capability to lift and handle items, stock shelves, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality with the ability to work within scheduled hours
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for contributing to team success
- Good computer skills and awareness of POS software
- Desirable: Experience with small engines, outdoor power equipment, or mechanical knowledge
- Desirable: Previous experience working in a spare parts department or similar technical retail role
