We are seeking a reliable and skilled Industrial Blaster and Painter to join our busy workshop team. You will be responsible for surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and applying industrial-grade protective coatings to structural steel, machinery, and fabricated components
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation and safe operation of abrasive and sandblasting equipment
- Mix and apply industrial coatings such as epoxies and 2-pack polyurethanes using airless and conventional spray equipment
- Operate a forklift safely to move materials, steel, and equipment around the workshop
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure compliance with quality and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain blasting and painting equipment and keep a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in industrial sandblasting and spray painting
- Current valid High Risk Work Forklift Licence LF
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety and proper PPE compliance
- Current drivers licence and reliable transport
