We’re looking for a special person to support our wonderful 5-year-old daughter, who has a physical disability. She is very social, chatty, playful and full of personality, and loves being out and about and engaged in activities.
Our much-loved support worker of the past 18 months is unexpectedly moving back overseas, so we’re looking for someone wonderful to become part of our team.
While our daughter is active and increasingly independent, she does need quite a lot of hands-on physical support throughout the day, including help with mobility, transfers and some everyday activities. For this reason, we’re looking for someone who is physically fit and solid, and comfortable with a role that involves regular lifting and physical assistance.
Ideally,
we’d love a nursing, medical, allied health or similar student who is calm, confident and responsible. She also has epilepsy, so we need someone comfortable following an emergency plan if a seizure occurs. Her seizures are infrequent and mostly occur overnight.
We’re looking for someone on Mondays during the day, with the possibility of every second Tuesday morning as well. There may also be occasional additional hours on other days or evenings. We’re based in Croydon North.
