Our client is a well-established Australian retailer with a significant national footprint, a loyal customer base and a long history in Australian retail.

Now, they're looking to evolve.

The business is challenging the way it approaches product, looking at its categories with fresh eyes and exploring how it can create a more compelling, relevant and commercially successful offer for today's customer.

This is where you come in.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to take ownership of a significant Textiles / Manchester portfolio and help shape what the category looks like next.

This is your opportunity to turn the dial.

You’ll have the scale, infrastructure and customer reach of an established retailer — but the opportunity to challenge the status quo, bring new ideas and make your mark on the product offer.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading the Textiles / Manchester category strategy
- Building and evolving a compelling product portfolio across bedding, towels, soft furnishings and related textiles
- Identifying opportunities to refresh, reposition and grow the category
- Developing private label and exclusive product opportunities
- Working closely with local and international suppliers and factories
- Negotiating product, pricing, margin and commercial terms
- Using customer insight, market trends and competitor activity to identify what's next
- Partnering with Planning, Product Development, Marketing and other key teams
- Owning the commercial performance of your category across sales, margin and inventory




- Bringing a fresh perspective to how the category is bought, developed and presented to the customer

We're looking for a Buyer who wants more than a buying role.

You'll bring strong Textiles / Manchester / Soft Homewares experience, ideally within a large- scale bricks-and-mortar retail environment.

But just as importantly, you'll be curious.

You’ll be someone who looks at an established category and thinks:

“How could we do this better?”

You might have ideas about product.

You might have ideas about sourcing.

You might see an opportunity the business hasn’t seen yet.

We want you to bring that thinking.

You’ll ideally have:

- Solid Textiles / Manchester / Homewares buying experience
- A track record of building commercially successful ranges
- Strong supplier and factory relationships
- Product development and sourcing experience
- Commercial confidence across sales, margin, pricing and inventory
- A strong eye for product, quality and trends
- The confidence to challenge, influence and introduce new ideas
