Registered Nurse ( withdrawal unit ) - 2 positions - Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Location : Rowes Bay, Townsville Casual

About the Role
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting comprehensive nursing and withdrawal assessments
- Monitoring and managing withdrawal symptoms in line with clinical guidelines
- Administering and dispensing medications safely and accurately
- Providing crisis intervention, triage, and clinical decision-making support
- Supporting admissions, discharges, clinical documentation, and shift handovers
- Collaborating with visiting Medical Officers and multidisciplinary teams
- Delivering culturally safe and trauma-informed care
- Contributing to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery
What We're Looking For
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years' nursing experience, ideally within Alcohol & Other Drugs, Mental Health, or Withdrawal Management settings
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and intervention skills
- Knowledge of withdrawal management and addiction recovery principles
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate, recovery-oriented care
- Current Driver Licence
- Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and overnight shifts
- Current Queensland Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
